Sunny Boulder (JTNP.L45.042) B&W 2021

This rather large granite boulder is wedged between two rocks. A similar boulder sits atop the natural rock wall in the background. Contemplating the series of events that would leave these two large rocks positioned as they are made me think of the many unlikely events in the history of the Earth and in our own lives that have brought us to where we are today. I made this photograph with a 4x5 Linhof Teknikardan camera and a 135mm lens.
